Why we choose to be Wild

WILD CAUGHT
FARM RAISED
NUTRITION
Generally higher levels of omega-3s because of their natural diets.
Exposed to fewer smaller fish than their wild-caught peers, so the omega-3s may not be as rich.
FEED
Food is always found naturally in the wild.
Fed fishmeal consisting of conventionally grown crops that may contain GMOs.
APPEARANCE + TEXTURE
Leaner, less visable white fat, Natural pink flesh.
Fattier, naturally pale with color added to make it look pinker than it actually is.
DISEASE
Very low level of disease since the fish swim openly in the ocean.
Diseases, lice and pests are present due to crowded fish pens.
ENVIRONMENT
Wild caught seafood create an flourishing ecosystem since they are in their natural habitat.
Disease and waste causes the ecosystem to be polluted.

Sustainability + Support

NATURAL SEA is proud to provide sustainable seafood that is sourced and harvested in ways that support the health of our beautiful oceans, sea life, and communities.

Our products follow the guidelines establish and monitored by industry experts that view and rate seafood as wild, bountiful, and well maintained. At Natural Sea we follow The Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Program rankings as a guide to sustainable seafood.

The Seafood Watch program studies the health of our oceans and marine life and has created a consumer-friendly ranking system that helps us choose which fish are best, good and which should be avoided.

GREEN: a best choice for sustainability
YELLOW: a good alternative
RED: fish to be avoided
