RECALL NOTICE

We have voluntarily recalled specific production lots only of both Premium Cod Sticks and Premium Cod Fillets, specifically those with Best By and Lot Numbers listed below. No illnesses to date have been reported for this product, but this limited recall is being put into effect as a safety precaution due to the possible presence of undeclared milk in breaded coating. This recall action was taken in cooperation with the packer and the US FDA. As of this posting (July 7, 2017) the recall has not yet been classified and FDA is not requiring public press for this recall.

you need to know…

Instructions for the Consumer:

Those who have purchased NATURAL SEA Premium Cod Sticks or Premium Cod Fillets with recalled Lot Number and Best By dates listed should destroy the product and take sales receipt to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Instructions to the Retail Customer:

Check your inventory for the listed items, remove ONLY product with recalled Lot Number and Best By dates from stock and destroy the recalled product at store level.

Be prepared to document the action taken at your store including the label description, Best By date on the units, number of pieces destroyed (full and partial cases), method and date of destruction. Affected retail customers should receive the Product Recall notice and Recall Product Disposition Form. They are asked to destroy the product and complete the Recall Product Disposition Form as instructed. For credit, report count information through normal distribution channel (e.g. UNFI Recall InfoLink, Customer Returns/Claims or BMB Direct Customer Account Reps).
